Save Blind Cancer Patient's House

Update: Thank you all for your donations! You helped us stop the foreclosure that would have happened today, June 21st. We had many gofundme and private donations and we could not have done it without your support! We are not out of the woods yet as he is still paying medical bills every month. Please read below:

Alan Downing age 65 of Glendale, Arizona and a graduate of MIT 1972 in Aero Space Engineering and worked for NASA is facing a huge problem. Alan has been Blind since the age of 3 caused by Bilateral Glaucoma which usually affects humans of an older age. Alan has also been battling Cancer for the past few years. The Cancer treatments and medical scans and necessary tests and cancer drugs to keep him alive are extremely expensive. These expenses have become more than he can handle financially. As a result in his need to pay for his medical procedures, his house has gone into foreclosure because he has become delinquent in his mortgage payments. Can you imagine having to decide whether to make a mortgage payment or put your limited funds towards lifesaving medical treatment?  Alan has been faithfully making his mortgage payments for over 25 years. About 4 months ago, Alan asked Chase Bank NA for a loan modification to lower the payments on his mortgage but it seems Chase Bank NA has no compassion regarding his situation and has unbelievably set a foreclosure date on his home for June 21st (which has since been resolved thanks to you folks!) If Chase foreclosed, Alan will be homeless with nowhere to go. Can you imagine being a blind man fighting cancer with no home to live in? How could Chase Bank do this to a customer? Where is their compassion in this instance?


Alan Downing is a FCC Licensed Ham radio operator. He helps people all over the world answering their questions with his engineering guidance. Now we as a compassionate community need to come to Alan’s aid in his time of need. Time is of the essence though…. ( Alan needs to quickly raise $8379.29 BEFORE June 10th  to stop the foreclosure. - now resolved)  Alan needs a total of $94,000 to pay his mortgage off completely while he concentrates on fighting the cancer. The goal is to get Alan mortgage free so he can concentrate on fighting this deadly form of cancer. Hopefully, God willing, Alan can go on to be Cancer free in the future.


Please make a donation to Alan for his treatments. We are currently looking into other governmental assistance. He will greatly appreciate the help and he won’t have to worry again about being thrown out on the street.
