Fundraiser for the family of Amanda Bush
The life of Amanda Bush, 27, was taken from us as she was working behind the bar at the historic Ithaca restaurant.
Please share this page. This tragic event is already being handled so beautifully by the IPD, IFD, and many community members.
Over 30,000 people reside in the city of Ithaca. A financial gift of any amount can go a long way--and I know the community of Ithaca can work together to truly make a positive impact on the Bush family and the daughter she left behind.

This article was published by the Ithaca Voice, highlighting Adam Cortright's gratitude for all of your help. This community is amazing.
This article is about me, hi, and talks about how 100% of proceeds will be going to the Bush family. Not 93.1%! This was made possible by a wonderful community member, Gerry Monaghan, and his initiative to start a fundraiser specific for the admin costs.
Here's the site if you want to help out:

There were several people worried that 100% of proceeds would not be going to the family due to the nature of crowd funding sites, which require admin fees.
To make things right, I expressed my desire to cover the 7.9% of admin costs to make it so Madison Cortright, daughter of Amanda Bush and Adam Cortright, receives 100% of proceeds.
The final cost of admin fees added up to a little over $1,900. Several community members expressed their concern that it would not be right for me, a college student, to have to deal with these costs by myself.
Nonetheless, I stood by my claim that I would be paying the 7.9% fee on my own. Ithaca was too kind to let me do that.
Gerry Monaghan, a kind-hearted Ithaca, set up a fund specific to these admin costs. This way, more than one person would be responsible to cover these costs. I overestimated my ability to take this all on by myself. A little bit from everyone could go a long way, and we could all cover the admin fees together.
If you are interested, the site that Gerry set up is right below.

I appreciate that Nora listened to her heart and started this campaign for our community. I think it is unfair that she feels she has to pay the admin fee because some people are upset that there is one. It is a fee associated with the service that enables very simple ways to help those in need. It may seem like a lot to some and maybe it is, but look how much money is being raised for Amanda's baby girl in so little time. I want to thank Nora for setting it up and living with her heart.
You can still make a donation :)
Hello! Can you increase the goal so you can raise more money or can we still make a donation?
Appreciate the sentiment, Ryan
To clear up any confusion, this is a legitimate online donation site for Amanda Bush's Daughter and family. The end earnings will be combined with a separate local donation site through United Way of Ithaca. Please continue to donate if you wish, and we thank Nora and everyone else for their generosity.
Please anything helps. This is truly something special. The coming together of this community in my friends time of need really cement ' s the love I have for this town. Thank you Nora Abramov and all who have donated. You all are our friends and family now.
Nora, you are truly the good samaritan. Thank you for setting this page up and giving all of us a chance to help Amanda's family.
Hello. My name is Ryan and Adam Cortright ( Amanda's fiance and Madisons father) is my very best friend. He appreciates every thing the community has been doing to show solidarity in their time of grief. We as close friends to Amanda and Adam are also very concerned with others benefitting from their loss. Please, if this is legitimate, we ask that you contact us and we can provide details and information on how you can contribute. We will know more in the upcoming hours. Contact myself on Facebook and I will try to help guide you. Thank you all. Brandon, Adam, and Madison need all of the help they can get right now.
