Lort, I hate having to do these but the time has come for me to try again. July 22 is another milestone birthday for me. And while I love gathering and drinking and eating with you, there are more pressing things on my plate as of now.
THE SHORT STORY - I am trying to raise funds to find a new place to live. Particularly as I embark on semester 2 of graduate studies. Since touring and getting a loan didn't work in my favor, It's time to think of another plan. This is it.
You will have more than one option to help. So don't roll your eyes going, "another fundraiser!" This one is fun! And if you can't help, all I ask is that you share.
While $4000 is the goal. It is merely a blip in the never ending battle of recovering from being without a stable living environment for the first time since my early 20s.
THE LONG STORY
I am still suffering from last year's displacement due to gentrification (capitalism/racism/discrimination). I have traveled for development in areas of human rights activism, which for the most part kept from really feeling the hurt of being thrown out of my home of 7 years in Brookyn because I wouldn't allow my landlord to use my internet and electricity. (yes that happened!)
And I've toyed with the exploration of other countries as a possible future home. But that is a process that will take so much time, money, and sacrifice. And the last stint in Australia didn't go as planned. It was my biggest risk yet and I took a financial beating.
Enough of the sob story. Here is the deal.
I didn't get approved for grad school loans this semester. Which means I can be without a home for another year. Being without a space is expensive.
Right now I need to find a solid place that I can either find here in the city or the next closest which can be New Jersey or as far as Pittsburgh. Thanks to all my friends who have held my hand through this in various ways.
You have more than one way to help. Depending on which you choose, as long as you are within the city, and we settle up within a few weeks of your donation, all will be good with the world.

My patreon is there, I just need to activate it. I like to exploit myself making social commentary videos and writing about things that pisses people off or make them blush. Look out for that link if you’d rather support the art that I will have to put out consistently.
You can donate for my meticulous cleaning services. I have been secretly working on this start-up for a while. But if you need your place cleaned, I'll come and do the work. I havea 3 hour min. My usual rate is $90. For donors you can get a clean up for $60. I however only work within parts of Brooklyn and parts of Manhattan. Inquire within.
When I have stopped staring into space in between having long work days that wear me out, I can put up the cleaning site, and you will be able to donate a cleaning for your friends if having me in your home is not your jam.
Take a class. Check out my social media pages for the classes I have taught and get them for a really great rate! In person or on video. Donate anywhere from $20 each class or $50-$80 for a package and we can work out the details. You can also take this class via skype.
I do very few massage appoints but if you are in need of trained hands, donate at least $50 for an hour. Ask me about the modalities I work with.
I am the queen of cussing people out with no care for their feelings. Would you like a one liner or dissertation. Choose your donation point.

If I surpass the goal, an apartment here in the city if I am lucky. If not then likely a room in or out the city. Or an actual apt outside of the city, which means I kinda have to start my life over.
Transport to and from my many hustles. (metrocards are expensive)
Paying late fees for grad school. Cause apparently not having money means institutions will then charge you money. Welcome to America
Storage bills ($200/mo) Yes I know. But my last apt was 2 1/2 bedrooms of everything in it's place.
Cellphone ($100) it's my lifeline (and happened to have just fallen in water)
Pay off those irritating debts (cause they came back to haunt me and stopped my plan of using my overpayment from my loans to find housing)
Food (because we can't live on air alone. Darn)
Promote that cleaning business. I am depending on it and my killer novel to feed me through my old age.
