Support for AJ Wittenbrink

AJ Wittenbrink is the definition of a good man. He is a loving father, husband, and friend. 

On Sunday, January 1,  AJ began feeling ill. His wife, Beth, took him to the emergency room that evenining. He was experiencing headaches, slurred speech, dizziness, numbness and a migraine.  On Tuesday January, 3rd, knowing he wasn't feeling well, AJ still made the drive into work. Around 10:00am, AJ decided to head home for the day. On his way to the car, his coworkers decided it was best to have him taken to the nearest hospital.

Upon reaching the hospital via Ambulance, he was admitted into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The doctors suspected viral meningitis. He was sedated and intubated. The doctors do not know the cause of the virus, and have not yet officially diagnosed his condition. AJ is still intubated and mildy sedated. He is in pain and could use your prayers and thoughts.

AJ is a father to 4 beautiful children and the husband to Beth. He is a Senior IT Operations Specialist at a company headquartered in downtown Detroit. Beth has been by AJ's side at the hospital since the start of this situation. AJ's parents have flown in from out of state to assist in watching the children while Beth tends to her husband.

This situation is currently ongoing and the doctors and do not have a diagnosis or plan of action at this time. Nobody knows how this situation will come to an end and what AJ's recovery will entail. Although AJ's employment will help cover the costs of some medical expenses, there is no doubt that this situation will create an enormous financial burden for the Wittenbrink family.
