Aislyn's National History Day Trip

On May 2nd, Aislyn won the Oklahoma History Day individual performance competition.  This accomplishment qualifies her to compete at National History Day in Washington, DC this June. We are so proud of this girl and excited about this unexpected but welcomed surprise. She will be the first student from Hilldale to compete at this level and it is an incredible opportunity for her. She will meet students from across the nation and have her first chance to see our nation's capital.

I (Jenee') will go as Aislyn's sponsor. Hilldale Schools has arranged payment for her portion of the trip, but not mine. As I have just finished nursing school and am waiting to sit for my boards, we don't have a lot of extra cash sitting around. The cost of my airfare and lodging should come to around $1,000.  Our plans are to fly out on June 8th and return the 15th. We will be staying on the campus of the University of Maryland with other competitors and their sponsors. 

One way or another, we will make sure our amazing girl has an opportunity to represent her state against the best in the nation, but your assistance would be a great help. Your contribution, in any amount, is greatly appreciated. We are sincerely grateful for your support.
