 Who We Are – Aisha Academy is an altruistic nonprofit org. that is purpose-developed to provided life-changing services; specifically, homeless shelters, transitional housing, residential charter school for homeless children and youths between the ages of 16-25. Our goals are to make a better way for the youngest of our communities ‘lost angels’ by providing impacting life-changing care, safety, psychological and educational growth based services. 

What We Do – As of January 2017, the city and county of Los Angeles now hosts over 20,000 homeless youths. Aisha Academy will provide housing, educational programs, and health and psychological care for this growing population. Our city and county facilities, processes, and curriculum have been tediously created with love and care to meet the needs of a growing homeless youth population. Aisha Academy’s Founder and Executive Director, Mr. Kelvin L. Williams, has spent over 35 years securing appropriate licenses, credentials, experienced care providers, and partnerships with academic institutions, politicians, civic and business leaders, as well as appropriate agencies to develop one of the most comprehensive transitional homeless organizations in the state of California. 

What Makes Aisha Academy Different: Identifying and working with homeless youth can be very challenging. Aisha Academy’s origin began with tragedy during Mr. Williams’s childhood. As a result of those experiences, Mr. Williams has dedicated his life to making a difference for today’s embattled youth. Aisha’s curriculum and programming will take a ‘hands on’ approach with regards to the delivery of its programs and the expected results. Our programs will provide ‘one-stop’ opportunities for youth housing, group therapy psychological support, health and spiritual services and proffer experienced professionals, empowered peers, community participants and benevolent volunteers. Aisha Academy will provide program participants with the foundational tools and life-skills to effectively integrate into society and the enabling ability to sustain their growth. Aisha’s ‘one-stop’ approach will proffer participants the ability to not only consider it ‘home’, they will be able to access the services they need to retake charge of their lives and define their life paths more accurately and to make well informed life choices.

What Aisha Academy needs from you: We need your support to purchase a building that will become the center for our services and shelter for 40 youth. If 5000 Angelenos each give $20 or more, we will hit our goal and create a home for our homeless youth.
