After spending 23 years in the AF my husband retired in 2003. He has been very healthy except for his diabetes. On Sept 3rd this year our lives were changed forever. He had started having some trouble catching his breath one night so I rushed him to the Emergency room. We found out right away he was only at 70% for his oyxgen saturation. He spent one week in intensive care only to find out he has terminal pulmonary fibrosis. He also has a very bad case of rheumatoid arthritis all through his body including in his lungs. As soon as he was discharged I got in touch with the Mayo Hospital in Jacksonville FL. Again, we were told his lungs are completely diseased and he needs a double lung transplant right away. He is on 100% oyxgen and uses anywhere from 4 liters sitting to 8 liters when he walks. He has declined so fast that I am having to wash him and dress him. He gets out of O2 so fast. We will leave to meet theveryone transplant team this Tues am. He will be in the hospital at least 3 months from start to finish. That means he won't be working and I won't be working for at least the first month to stay by his side. We have a 13 year old daughter at home that I will also need help with. I'm asking everyone to please help anyway you can. My husband is an amazing man that spent 23 years serving his country and I want him to be able to not worry who will make the mortgage payments, electric and groceries while he undergoes this huge double lung transplant. I love you all and thank for your donations and prayers. I promise to keep yall informed every step of this journey.

Terry continues to get stronger everyday, however our struggle still continues. He was made 100% disabled back in December but he won't get his first check until May. His short term disability also ended. I finally went back to work 3 weeks ago but they kept my first entire paycheck for my back insurance payments. We are blessed beyond measure with his 2 new lungs but just trying to pay our everyday bills and put food in our house is so hard. I know we only have 2 more months to make it and God always makes sure we have the basics but even the smallest of donations is greatly appreciated. Without you all we could not have made this journey possible. We love you all. Sandy and Terry Junn.

Terry was discharged again last Friday after having 2 blood clots. We were blessed he made it back to the hotel with us just in time for Christmas. After having spent 45 days in the hospital we are hoping he is done. Again, we dont get to go home until 1 March but we are just looking forward to an amazing year in 2017. Thanks again for all of your continued prayers and donations. It is very hard spending 5 months away from home but we are just SUPER BLESSED for our miracle this year.
Our Christmas miracle.

Well It seems we will be in the hospital for Christmas. However we are very blessed he is with us so we will just celebrate the Mayo way. We greatly appreciate everyone that has donated to his fund. It is quite different with the loss of both of our incomes. I am looking forward to the day I can go back to work hopefully 1 March. Bless you all and have a very Merry Christmas from Terry, Angel and I

I do not know you personally, but my niece shared your article from the paper with me. I grew up near Valdosta. My sister, Karyn Campbell passed away in 2013. She was unable to get a lung transplant in time. I'm donating in her memory. My husband is an Air Force veteran too. I pray your journey is bright. God Bless You. -Candy Hendrix
