Research in Banff, Kananaskis, Drum Heller

Hello, my name is Cassandra! I am a BSc Physical Geography Honours student at the University of the Fraser Valley. Currently, in my fourth year, I have maintained a high GPA along with a spot on the Dean's List. I like to volunteer at school events for my department and other societies like the Study Abroad society.

In the month of June, I am hoping to participate in what my school calls an "Adventure in Geography" (AIG) to Banff, Kananaskis, and Drum Heller, to perform research in the Rockies. The purpose and importance of the AIG are to gain valuable field experience and knowledge that I can transfer to future graduate studies and future employment. For this trip, I have to pay for accommodations, food, transportations including flights and vehicles, materials for research, and much more! I have two deposits due: one in March and one in May.

My family provides me with continuous support; however, I like to manage my finances on my own, but it becomes very difficult at times. Receiving donations will make me appreciate the goodness of people, help me to share and experience valuable lessons and something that I love, I hope to encourage others to share from the goodness of their hearts and I hope to one day return the favour by helping a future student or cause.
