Aaron's Spartan Race - For Iyla!

Donation protected
Hi There!

So, in three months time I've had a frankly rediculous idea to take part in 'Spartan Race'... instead of taking the easy route and starting off doing a 5k beginners race, I've done the obvious 'idiotic man' thing and gone the opposite end of the spectrum so I'll be taking part in a 20km+ 'Beast' with over 30 challenging obstacles along the way.

Just incase that's not hard enough, if you fail any of the obstacles you have to complete 30 burpees for every obstacle you fail... so it's not quite a morning jog through the park on a Sunday morning!

Clearly, I'd be absolutely mental if I was doing this just for funsies... so, the aim of this run has two objectives:

1: A personal challenge to see if I can actually do it, 18 months ago I was a lazy bugger and could barely run a mile.. but I've worked pretty hard to get fitter and fitter, so it's a test I suppose!

2: Iyla - if you know me, you'll know how important this little girl is to me and how much respect I have for her parents for being so strong and sticking together to provide everything they can and more for their perfect daughter.
They're trying to raise money so they can setup a sensory room and adapt their house to make day to day life easier for the three of them and help to push Iyla to keep developing as fast as she is.
I'm so proud of the three of them and I really hope you guys & girls will dig deep and donate anything you can to a great cause.

Incase you don't know about Matt, Chloe & Iyla.. here's a little bio I've stolen from another one of their fundraising pages, well worth a read to get to know their situation.

''Hi lovely people!

My daughter Iyla has a condition known as WHS - Wolf Hirschhorn Syndrome, it presents in many different ways but Iyla has had a particularly rotten time.
Iyla spent the first 5 months of her life in a variety of Intensive Care Units and has been back and forth from hospitals and appointments since.
During her admission Iyla fought numerous battles, most memorable heart failure and chronic lung disease which were caused by a large hole in her heart known as a Patent Ductus Arterious (PDA) that has now been surgically closed. Iyla does still have heart problems which may require further intervention.

At 18 months of age Iyla is progressing really well however the syndrome causes developmental and educational delays.
Iyla requires a great deal of assistance as she hasn't full head control and can not sit up without support.
There is some doubt as to whether Iyla will walk and she is also hearing impaired in both ears.''

So, dig deep and give what you can - I'd personally really appreciate any pennies or pounds you can give!

Thanks,
Aaron :)
