Agitator : A Co-operative Gallery

Agitator
: a co-operative gallery :

Agitator is a co-operative gallery founded by seven Chicago-based artists. Members share a common goal to curate art work that agitates and provokes conversation, curiosity, and intellectual stimulation by virtue of the diverse visual art forms and styles that will be shown at the gallery by members and artists who are invited to exhibit.

The founding of Agitator has moved at breakneck speed with signing of a lease starting in September 2017 of an ideal 1,000 sq ft store-front gallery space at 1112 N. Ashland, on the border of the West Town and Wicker Park neighborhoods in Chicago. Our gallery is just west of the long-time supporter of independent theatre and the arts in Chicago, Chopin Theater, whose managers are also owners of the store front gallery building. We are located just south of Corbett vs. Dempsey Gallery, and close to many other Chicago galleries like Aspect Ratio, Rhona Hoffman, and Chicago Truborn.

The money raised from this account will go towards helping sustain Agitator Co-operative Gallery.  Members pay monthly dues and we do raise a small amount of money from events like the Figure Tuesdays live model drawing night.  We are humbly grateful for donors who support Agitator Co-operative Gallery and our mission.

Thank you and cheers to the positive agitation of conversation within and beyond the art
community!
