AGBC Chapel Chair Fundraiser

Donation protected
The most important thing that goes on during a week of camp at AGBC is the preaching of God's Word. Over the years, we have worked to update our Chapel building to make it a more conducive environment for holding services.  It has gone from being a metal and concrete gym type of a room to being more like an auditorium. One area where we are still lacking is our seating. We currently use metal folding chairs (many of which are in poor condition) that can be difficult to sit on comfortably for extended amounts of time. It is our desire to update our seating to cushioned chairs that will be more comfortable for campers, sponsors, and staff to sit in for services and that will also look much nicer than the folding chairs we use at present.

We have had the desire to get new chairs for the Chapel for quite some time but have lacked the funds. Thanks to the efforts of a dear friend of the camp, we are hoping to have new chairs in place before this year's Memorial Day Picnic. At the time AGBC was founded, Mrs. Ruth Durham (pictured below) and her husband Floyd played an important part in helping to find and secure the property where AGBC is now located. Even though she is on hospice, Mrs. Durham still has a desire to be used by the Lord and has begun an effort to raise funds for new chairs for the Chapel. Mrs. Durham and her daughter Jeannie are spearheading this fundraising effort and are sending out letters to friends and family, but we would like to ask you to consider giving to this fund as well.

The goal we have set is to raise $3750 which would allow us to buy 150 new, chushioned chairs similar to the one pictured below. Your donation of any amount to help us reach this goal would be greatly appreciated!
