A Future For Freyja

Donation protected
In  January 2017 my precious young niece was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive cancer, Clear Cell Sarcoma with melanoma of soft parts. She also has a gene mutation that makes her condition unique with no known cure and survival odds are low. Freyja has endured two years and a half years of aggressive immunotherapy, ground breaking robotic surgeries with post surgical radiotherapy blasts and countless hospital admissions far away from her home. Freyja has further endured horrible side effects making on going treatment impossible with toxicity in her prime organs nearly claiming her life earlier this year. Now in June 2019 I am pleased that  over the last two and half years this campaign bought Freyja more time to find a cure so she can go back to school and be a normal kid again, but is not over. WE NEED YOUR HELP AGAIN. The family now are facing financial ruin with so much more ahead of Freyja. In my earlier campaign thanks to family, friends and community we raised over $104k to help with supportive treatments, supplements, her special diet, hydro and compression therapies, Metatron therapy, and to  help with crippling bills by reducing the financial burden on this single mum with three family. Unfortunately the new protocol and possible cure we have been searching for is now out of reach at a further $96k, Can you help? cruelly we are so close to getting #acureforfreyja and providing a future for her! There are so many unplanned expenses and, associated treatment and travel costs for the family to endure as Lizzie  (Freyja's Mum) continues to devote herself to Freyja's battle. She needs your help to not only help find a cure but to support the family in this terrible time. Its not over yet!

As a single mum with three young girls, Lizzie's life has been turned upside down. Lizzie gave up work to care for Freyja full time two years ago and has to travel to regularly to Sydney and Melbourne for appointments, treatments, scans and clinics. Along with the anxiety and stress that comes with having a critically ill young daughter, she has somehow had to keep it together for all the girls (Brynn 11, Inge 9 and Freyja 7) and try her best to maintain a normal household. The disruption is hard on all four of them and significant practical help is needed to cope with the logistics of maintaining some kind of normality.

"We are so close" says Lizzie "I've maxed out credit cards, sold belongings, chased down and tried every known cure and now I think we have a real chance at keeping Freyja here with us." Lizzie continues "Due to the mutation and the rarity of Freyjas cancer all we have managed to do is arrest the cancer for now which is amazing...the Cancer is still there but not active. It allows her to go back to school for 90 minutes each day but she is still on Oxygen at night and requires high doses of supplemental support with a special diet and anti cancer treatments to stop cancer advancing. She has endured and continues to suffer side effects that need their own treatments and support that aren't covered by NDIS. I rely on the community for support and I'm so grateful". Lizzie says "Yes, I now get some support from government services but by the time I pay for everything each month I'm almost -$5,403.  Sadly I've just told the girls we have to sell our home and I don't know where we will live. After much tears my girls are helping me to organise garage sales to sell everything we have, its heart breaking...these kids have given up everything. Cancer kills so much more, its not just the disease that destroys you....the impacts is life long for everyone involved"

Please help Freyja, we are so close! Thank you.
