Send Me on an Africa Mission Trip!!
Hi, I'm Adam and I am a strong believer in Jesus Christ with struggles, victories and a little bit of growth everyday. When I was young, I had no idea what church was for and in the beginning I resented having to go to church. In the 4th grade I began to break rules, disrespect my parents, getting angry for no reason, and failing in school. Then my temper would just explode in certain situations, and I wouldn't be able to control it. Going to church was a major struggle. The summer before freshman year my mom signed me up for summer camp and I was not happy. I left for camp upset and confused. But camp dramatically changed me and it brought me so close to God. Camp made me see how much God loves me and what he did for me. It brought me and twenty other high school guys to heavy tears. My mistakes and issues were thrown out the window. I was free and made new. God blessed me with a fresh start, an extremely fun time, and new true friends. I made friendships that are still growing strong. I love and crave going to church every weekend and to The Landing every Friday night. The Landing is like a spiritual push that got me wanting to see the world like God does. Wanting so desperately to see people how Jesus does.
So here I am, feeling a push to go to Africa this summer with 14 other high school students, from June 1st to June 15th. I'm so excited and a little scared, but I know that there will be a lot of growth and I have to step out of my comfort zone. I want to serve and help God's children by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of those hurting in Malawi. Please keep me in your prayers. I need to raise the money in order to go. This trip will cost a total of $3,500 for airfare, housing and food while in Africa. 75% is needed quickly in order to purchase the airfare.
