A Father's Promise

A Mother's love is a blessing, but, a Father's promise is golden. As a parent, I have often wondered, if my son sees what I see when our eyes meet? My hopes, my dreams, and my promise that everything will be okay.
Joe was a devoted and loving father who left this Earth far too early. He was a young 48 year old man who was dedicated to his Union and a loyal UPS employee for 26 years.
The love of his life, his true North was his 9-year old daughter, Bridget Ruth Lenehan, my God daughter. Joe adored being a father. He showered Bridget with gifts and attention and affection. He introduced her to his beloved Bruins and his love of reading.
There wasn’t a conversation to be had with Joe where he did not brag about his beautiful daughter and share some proud accomplishment of hers.
Bridget suffered an unimaginable tragedy as she was with her father when he collapsed. No child should ever have to live with that memory. Bridget has lost not only her father and moral compass but also her provider.
Joe would have worked another 20 years and would have lovingly provided for Bridget. Now, that is not a reality. With this page we aim to raise funds to be set aside for Bridget’s present and her future.
