Aeveries Nut Detection/Service Dog

As a mother i ask you im reaching out to you for help! Our daughter is very sick. It is so hard to go to bed at night an think about the next day, will our child live through the day? Will our child be placed on a breathing machine today? What does tomorrow hold for our little girl?

Our daughter has been through countless hospital stays more than you and me put together, she needs this service dog to help ease her anxiety and stress. What 5 year old has to think about not touching a table, chair or door handle constantly? Everything she touches, breaths and comes in contact can take her from us! Please help us raise the funds to be able to get her a Service dog that will be trained to sniff out peanuts amoung other of her allergens, that will help her with mobility, stress and anxiety too! Please every penny helps get us closer to our goal. This could cost us her life. Im asking you from the bottom of my heart.

Meet Aeverie. She's your Aliso Viejo neighbor. She's a sweet five year-old girl, with a beautiful smile and a sweet disposition... if you met her in person, she'd brighten your day.

You won't see Aeverie out about about in AV much though... not in restaurants, or the ice cream shop... she can't even attend school. Why? Aeverie has what's known as ANAPHYLAXIS. She's SEVERELY allergic to 65% of ALL FOODS, plus pollen, dust, latex, penicillin, etc. etc. etc.

She also has asthma, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (a connective tissue disease) and Muscular Distrophy, so she has to wear braces on her legs.

So are food allergies THAT big of a deal??? I used to think... "Allergies (sigh)... okay... so if your kid eats peanuts, what's gonna happen? They'll get a rash? Their face will get a little puffy?" NOPE. For Aeverie, her allergies are SEVERELY LIFE-THREATENING.

Here's how Wikipedia defines Anaphylaxis: "Anaphylaxis is a severe, potentially life-threatening allergic reaction. It can occur within seconds or minutes of exposure to something you're allergic to, such as a peanut or the venom from a bee sting. The flood of chemicals released by your immune system during anaphylaxis can cause you to go into shock; your blood pressure drops suddenly and your airways narrow, blocking normal breathing. Signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis include a rapid, weak pulse, a skin rash, and nausea and vomiting."

Not long ago, someone kissed Aeverie on the forehead. Without anyone's knowledge, that person had apparently eaten something Aeverie was allergic to. Aeverie ended up in the ICU on a respirator for SIX DAYS. She almost died. Now she wears cute little girly shirts that announce she can't be touched or hugged by strangers.

It takes a village to keep her safe. And WE'RE her village, friends! There's something that can help save Aeverie's life. There are now very specialized service dogs, trained super specifically for Aeverie's allergies. The dogs are trained to sniff, anywhere and everywhere, and alert Aeverie to danger. These dogs are a miracle for a little girl like her... but they're also expensive. About $15,000. With the high cost of Aeverie's medical treatments and highly-specialized foods, we just don't have the money. But Aeverie needs this dog. So we've decided to ask for help. Aeverie has to fight every day, but she's a happy girl. By helping provide this service dog, you can make her fight easier -- and SAFER. She also needs it for anxiety and mobility, because of her Muscular Distrophy.
