At Highland Hill Farm we are tring to make our fields more bird friendly. We grow and sell trees and shrubs. We are asking for donations of cash or your used birdboxes to increase the number of nesting sites to 50 per acre. We need just birdboxes or cash donations to buy boxes. We want in increase the number birds in order to increase the natural predation of insects on our nursery stock. The field we are placing the boxes is 34 acres. Thus we need 1700 boxes...Hopefully this will decrease our use of pesticides. We also need people to help install the birdboxes or build them with materials we currently have or with purchased materials. Thank you for your consideration.
