On Thursday, September 7th, Angela and Michael received news that no parent should ever hear, their sweet Adri was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma at the young age of 6.
Adri was admitted back into Phoenix Children's Hospital (for the second time in a week ) immediately after receiving her diagnosis and will stay for an undetermined amount of time with many chemo and radiation treatments and surgeries ahead of her. The cost needed to fight this battle is going to be overwhelming. Most importantly, Angela needs to be able to take time away from work (in which she has no paid time off due to recently going part time) for surgeries and when Adri does return home to be able provide the proper care for her as she cannot attend school due to a compromised immune system and for healing after extensive surgeries.
Angela is a single mom with two other kids to care for on top of it all so we, as her family, want to create a little less stressful situation for her to be able to put her focus on Adri and her boys and this is what we thought we could do to make it all possible for her.
