Adrian 'Davo' Davis
Donation protected
Adrian Davis ('Pedro' to those who know him, 'Davo' to his Army mates and 'AJ' to his concreting / hi vis mates) has recently been diagnosed with Gallbladder cancer.
We are very optimistic Davo will beat this terrible disease and be back up and about before you know it. Davo is fit, positive and young enough to knock this on the head.
For the last few years, Davo has run his own concreting company and has always sort to look after his mates and offer big discounts to veterans. As you all know, time off work as a self-employed business person can be very hard.
Some great work has already occurred to help Davo with his medical expenses (by a very knowledgeable Veterans Advocate - thanks Dale), but as we all know, sometimes it is the incidentals from long hospital stays and time off work that can be the most expensive.
I am hoping we can raise some funds to help cover some of the incidentals to make this difficult time slightly less stressful for Davo and his family.
Cheers
Pete
Ps: GoFundMe has asked that I update the page to reflect a few governance matters.
For those of you who don't know me, I am Adrian's mate from our Army days and have been providing support and advice to the family on legal and financial matters since his diagnosis.
GoFundMe requires disclosure of how the money is transferred to the family and how it is used. To expedite the process of having funds transferred to the Davis family, and making it available immediately, I have transferred them the donated amounts from my personal account (minus the GoFundMe fees), with a view to being reimbursed when GoFundMe is able to complete the reconciliation of the donated monies. A full report on transferred funds is emailed to both Adrian and Suzi, as well as another friend (Ian Clapson) to audit for transparency purposes.
All funds that are raised will be used to support the Davis family deal with medical and incidental costs during their hospital stay and recovery.
