Addi's Summer@Brown University!

Hello, I'm Addi! I am a junior at Anacortes High School and I have recently been accepted by Brown University to attend a summer program for outstanding high school students. I have maintained a grade point average of 3.9 and have been highly involved in my school's Key Club and Speech and Debate Team. In March, I finished first place in Washington state for Poetry Out Loud and for 3A Original Oratory. 

I intend to enroll in a four week long intensive poetry program, because I am passionate about honing my skills as a writer. I am hoping that this course will help me explore this academic interest and help me prepare for college. Students from all over the world attend these programs. This program would give me the opportunity to experience life on an Ivy League campus. I know that I would gain a great deal from both my studies and interactions with my peers, and I am so eager to participate in this life changing experience.

My challenge is that I need to raise $6500 for the program and $1000 for transportation to attend the program. I am reaching out to you to ask for help. I need to raise a total of $7500 by June 19th. I am hoping that
you will consider helping me with a donation.
