OUR STORY:
We bought our dream home a little over 2 years ago, and moved in just days after our 4th child, Jackson, was born.  After moving 12 times due to being in the Army and then starting a new life as a civilian, we were finally going to settle down.  We were lucky enough to get pregnant again this past September, and couldn't believe our new baby's due date was the day before our oldest child would be graduating from high school.  Our fifth child, a little girl, was born prematurely.  However, after some time in the NICU, she is home with us now and has blessed our family with such sweet love.

HEALTH ISSUES:
Then, in December 2016, our little 2 year old Jackson was diagnosed with a blood disorder (neutropenia).  Essentially, his body does not have enough white blood cells to fight bacterial infection.  The diagnosis changed our whole lives.  I was afraid to take him outside of our home because then he would be exposed to germs and illnesses that could put him into the hospital, and possibly become life threatening.  I basically stay home everyday, all day with Jackson and live in a "bubble" while we grapple with how to live a normal life and be there for our other children, yet still protect our son.

HOUSE ISSUES:
We were devastated when we found out that our home had major issues.  Our chimney rotted so badly that the inspector told us we needed to get a mold inspection done.  We immediately had our home tested for mold, and toxic mold was found in the air and wall of Jackson's bedroom.

Due to Jackson's health issues and our new baby, we don't have the luxury to wait to fix our entire house.  Jackson's constant staph skin infections that we had been battling for a year cleared up shortly after we moved him out of his bedroom.  This situation has affected every aspect of our family's lives.  At this point, our only concern is getting our home completely fixed so our children's health is not jeopardized any further.

This whole situation is such a nightmare.  I feel horrible asking for help, but I am at a loss.  I am doing what any mother would do for her family.  All funds donated will be used to get our home fixed and make it safe for our children.  Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
