Acupuncture for Veterans with PTSD
Donation protected
As some will know I am very passionate about PTSD, having undertaken my BSc (Hons) dissertation on the topic and now continuing my research in the area of Acupuncture and its effects on PTSD.
I personally have seen the hoops that one has to go through to have any form of western medical diagnosis, and unfortunately the care that is offered is often not in alignment with the National Guidelines (Nice, 2018) hence many people slip through the gaps of the NHS.
I made a personal promise to help others with this condition and I have now opened up a Acupuncture Clinic to offer my services for free for Veterans with PTSD every Monday.
We are already fully booked every Monday even though I have extended the clinic hours.
To date I have self-funded the set up of the Clinic including the licensing of the premises with Environmental Health and all overheads including acupuncture supplies, equipment, waste disposal, fuel etc.
We are very fortunate that overheads of rent, utilities and copious cups of tea are already covered.
Any donations will go directly towards the running costs of the clinic in helping Veterans with PTSD. There are no bells and whistles, just a simple treatment room that is safe for our Veterans and their families to receive treatment.
