Beckley Bicycle Repair Station Fundraiser
Active Southern West Virginia works to improve the health of southern WV by providing free family physical activity programs across Nicholas, Fayette, Raleigh, and Summers Counties.
The Active SWV Bike/Walk program is committed to making walking and biking safe, fun and convenient by advocating for protected bike lanes, safe streets for pedestrians, fitness trails and a network of connected hiking trails.
This campaign has a goal of $500 to reach the $1500 needed for two bicycle repair stations located in Beckley; McManus Rail Trail and at the YMCA Soccer Complex.
Funds have already been raised through the Active SWV Bridge Day Bicycle Valet ($160), McDonald's profit share event ($200), and private donations ($100). The City of Beckley will match the last $500 raised to meet our goal!

Mount Hope's bicycle repair station is a big hit during community parades.
The first official Active SWV Bike/Walk Beckley group ride was a success! Beckley's mayor and other participants rode along the McManus Rail Trail and burned a few calories before the Thanksgiving holiday!
Active SWV Bike/Walk got plenty of help from WVU Tech students for this year's Bridge Day Bike Valet. Thanks to all of those who volunteered to make it a success!
