Accessible Workshops for All
I take my Workshop Wagon to venues and events both big and small,
where I provide free workshops for anyone facing barriers in accessing creativity, learning & training - this leads to participants increasing their skills & confidence, and learning whilst having fun!
As a qualified tutor & Artist, I have experienced first-hand how creativity unlocks many barriers both mentally & physically, often leading to improved mental health, further training, or finding confidence to face challenges. I am 6 years in remission after a stem-cell transplant, and rediscovering my creative roots was an important factor in my recovery. I love to pay forward the happiness and confidence by providing others with sessions where we learn new skills and rekindle traditional ones.
I provide what resources I can, and I am seeking help to buy materials for a series of workshops this summer - in previous years I have had up to 150 participants per day, both children and adults, who have learned a lot about their creativity and their abilities, all of which is discovered whilst having lots of fun and meeting new friends!
I travel to GeoParks, schools, festivals, village halls... wherever the Workshop Wagon is needed...
