Hello! My name is Brennen Blotner, I'm 18 years old, and I'm from Johns Creek, Georgia. Recently, I auditioned for a music-intensive Acappella camp in Los Angeles, and my audition (the link is below) placed in the top 13% of almost 600 applicants, giving me the opportunity to have an experience that can't be found anywhere else. While at the camp, I'll be surrounded by musicians who are passionate about what they do, instructors who want to see their students succeed, and who knows? It's very possible that a few members from Pentatonix may be there as well!
Music has always been an integral part of my life. My parents have told me stories that I would stand up in my crib and sing until they came to get me, and they knew that I had an inherent love for music before I even knew what I was doing. Since then, my passion for the art has only grown, and I've always sought to grow in my field and share the excitement and indescribable joy that comes from experiencing music with others that feel the same excitement and indescribable joy.
That being said, this camp, Acapella Academy, is a godsend. I can't imagine a more perfect environment - 78 students who are genuinely passionate for music and want to learn more, growing off of each other and encouraging each other to go outside of their musical comfort zone and becoming better musicians and friends at the same time.
Such an experience almost sounds too good to be true, and it almost is - the only things that levels the playing field is the tuition. The total cost of tuition amounts to $1995, and does not include the cost of airfare or other additional costs. As a high school senior soon to be faced with college tuition, my primary concern at the moment is my family, who has provided me with so much, and I wouldn't want to place any more financial stress on them than has previously been placed.
This, dear reader, is where you come in.
If you took the time to donate, in any capacity, my gratitude would be immeasurable. To live out my dream through your generous giving is something for which I am unable to express sufficient thanks. Even if you can't donate, spread the word! As the old adage goes, the more the merrier!

What's Camp Like?
