Join our journey to help Standing Rock! Our names are Audrie & Breann and since we have been following Standing Rock, we have felt a deep calling to aid in being of service.
What is Standing Rock? :

It is happening here in the United States. An oil company, Energy Transfer Partners, has been given the green light by President Trump to build the Dakota Access Pipeline through Standing Rock, the government-appointed Indian Reservation land in North and South Dakota. If the pipeline is built, it will be cross the Missouri River, which is the main water source of the people, animals and plants in that area. Energy Transfer Partners has seen an increase in pipeline bursts , so it's only a matter of time before the water and land are contaminated by oil. Thousands are peacefully protesting against the government and oil company, because water is a right and is essential to life. Water protectors are unarmed and police are using force and brutality toward protesters of the land. A girl got her arm blown off by cops shooting her with pellets!!! They're using fire hoses to spray water on peaceful protestors in insane winter cold! At night the oil company is spraying the camps with chemicals and people are getting sick. They have also been caught wiping computeres and phones to discourage people from taking photos or videos of what is happening there, so the truth doesn't get shared on the internet. The oil company is doing whatever the can to get people to leave, so they can move forward with their oil pipeline plans. The protestors want to see the construction of the pipeline halted entirely. We are pro energy solutions as long as it doesn't come at the cost of humanity or the environment.
Why do we want to go?:
We are going there with the intention to provide supplies, service, and any money we can raise in an effort to support what we believe is a human right--the right to clean water.
We are here to make it easy for all of you to be involved in the solution through donations. We plan on using the donations for winter gear, medical supplies, food/water, and general camping gear--such as sub-zero sleeping bags.
We plan to head to Standing Rock on February 2nd and keeping you all updated every step of the way (that we can). xo
