Abbey's Dance in France

After 11 years of hard work and dedication dancing with Dance Scool of Distinction under the careful eye of Miss Anita Michael, Abbey started studying her craft full time this year at Jane Moore in Melbourne.
In her time at DSD there was many a momentous awards and with each one she became one step closer to fulfilling her life goal of becoming a professional dancer.
Being the eldest of four has often seen this humble young lady sacrifice opportunities as she wasnt wanting the financial burdeon to effect anyone in her close knit family.
Two days after her 16th birthday this year in April Abbey set off for her first international competition at the AHA awards in Wellington, NZ.
What started with over 250 dancers she made the final four for her age group and was the youngest in that four, that in itself has been an amazing achievement.
From that success has come an opportunity of a summer school scholarship with the Rosella Hightower Ballet School in Cannes, France that was awarded to Abbey for her top four finalist placing.
However, to get her there in July ,we need to raise funds for her airfares for her to take up this amazing opportunity.
