Donation protected
This GoFundMe is inspired by an article in Huffington Post, where Taylor Richardson, a 13-year-old aspiring astronaut from Florida, raised money to take girls to see the the inspiring true story of the 3 African American female mathematicians "Hidden Figures."

In an effort to expose 100 African American female student, from local TUSD middle schools to the stories of three brilliant African American women mathematicians, the University of Arizona's African American Student Affairs and Tucson Unified School District's African American Student Affairs looks to join forces to provide the girls an opportunity to have a Female Empowerment Day. The girls will be taken to see the movie and return to the campus of the University of Arizona for a Lunch and Dialogue with African American female administrators, staff, and students to unpack the story and their reactions, and receive words of encouragement and hope.

The money will:
1. Pay for tickets for 50 middle and high school African American females to go see women who look like them celebrated and acknowledged for the work the do
2. Pay for transporation
3. Pay for a catered luncheon for the girls at the University of Arizona.
