Support for Jonathan

My long time friend, Jonathan Acquaviva, was recently diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome. Like myself, I'm sure you haven't heard of Guillain-Barré Syndrome or known as GBS. It is an autoimmune disease that is brought on by a virus, and instead of your immune system healing you, it attacks the nerves in your body. It is a devastating disorder because of its sudden, rapid, and unexpected onset of weakness resulting in paralysis in the body. It also causes the inability to breathe on your own, as in Jonathan's case.

I was able to visit Jonathan at the hospital recently and he is in good spirits. The doctors anticipate him having a full recovery although he has a long road ahead of him. He will need extensive PT, OT, and speech therapy. Not only is this is a very difficult time for Jonathan physically and emotionally, but also a financial burden as Jonathan will be out of work for months and will incur medical expenses. Please help support Jonathan and his family with his road to recovery.
