Aerospace Activism

We are a group of young motivated high schoolers who want students to feel safe in their schools.  We believe that Congressional inaction is unacceptable. We know this issue is not simple. We know that our peers are dying. We will not let this pass. We will make our voices heard. We are Breaking B.R.E.A.D.

Breaking B.R.E.A.D. (Barrier, Regrets, Animosity, And Doubt) is a group of students who have created a space to discuss the day to day issues of our society. In the wake of the Parkland, Florida school shooting many schools around the nation have joined the conversation about gun violence. In the past few days, this issue has dominated our discussions.  We are resolved to do more than give our thoughts and prayers. We want to propose steps towards a solution.  Our goal is to take a group of 300 students to Hartford to call on our government to act. 

On behalf of Breaking B.R.E.A.D., we want to take a group of 300 CREC students to Hartford CT to call on Congress to act.  $3,000 will cover the cost of making T-shirts and making banners.

All money will be handled by the Academy of Aerospace and Engineering. This includes both withdrawal of funds and paying for the bus. Please direct any questions regarding the handling of money to the school. 

GoFundMe asks that we withdraw the funds into a bank account and we have asked our club's Adviser to initiate that for us. Ms. Wathen will receive the funds into her account and will then have a bank check made for the exact amount deposited. From there the funds will go to any expenses that were needed for the March and the majority of the funds will be sent to   the 
Stoneman Douglas Victims Fund.
