Please Help Andres Acquire a Prosthesis.
My cousin Andres Julian Montoya often enjoyed riding his motorcycle in the streets of the beautiful city of Medellin, Colombia. He was accustomed to the heavy traffic, hilly roads, and to taking the necessary precautions that a safe rider always takes into consideration. Unfortunately, on May 16, 2014 while he was on his way to work, he crossed an intersection and the driver of an SUV completely ignored the stop sign and impacted the left leg of Andres. The collision launched him several feet away and the powerful impact broke his femur into four pieces and completely destroyed his left foot. The rest is irrelevant. Andres wants to walk again, and to achieve that goal he needs your help. He needs an OTTOBOCK or a BIOM T2 prosthesis and is also seeking financial assistance for his therapies and medical bills. His insurance only covered the surgeries and hospitalization bills.

Who is Andres? Why help Andres?
Andres has always been an exemplary citizen, cousin and a great example for the people in his community. Growing up in a low-income family was always a challenge for him, but that did not stop him from achieving his goals of graduating from High School, obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and supporting his family economically. Andres has also served as a student monitor for his university and has instructed hundredths of students in the subjects of Physics, English and Mathematics. Additionally, he has been an active volunteer in his community and continues to participate every December in the delivery of gifts to kids in low-income areas of Medellin. He also volunteers for a community program that delivers food to the homeless and others in need. Even after the accident he continues to preserve his interest in helping others. From my perspective, he has been an ideal son.
