Help Sheni Walk Again!

Sheni is my beautiful one-year-old red border collie foster dog brought to Vancouver Island by Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Originally from Iran, she was found by her rescuers in the streets of Tehran with a rope around her neck and unable to move her back legs. It is believed that she was cruelly tied up and dragged behind a car. Sheni underwent emergency life-saving surgery but remains paralyzed and unable to walk.
Losing the use of her back legs has not stopped Sheni from loving life and adoring people! Remarkably, she still trusts humans! She gets on well with other dogs and is still a herding dog at heart. Right now, Sheni is forced to drag herself around, causing additional injury to her delicate skin and back legs. Although she did have a homemade dog wheelchair at one point, her swaying motion and weight (she's over 50 lbs. now) caused it to fall apart. Sheni urgently needs a new one!
My goal is to raise enough money to fit Sheni with a new dog wheelchair that is vet approved, and properly designed to meet her needs. Sheni also needs funds to continue her rehabilitation with acupuncture, and water therapy. As she is incontinent, Sheni is highly susceptible to recurrent urinary tract infections, and requires frequent veterinary treatment to remain healthy. Any additional money raised would help pay her expensive vet bills.
It would mean so much to see this sweet survivor maximize her potential, and re-gain some of her mobility. A professionally fitted dog wheelchair would increase her quality of life tremendously and enable Sheni to overcome some of the neurological deficits that prevent her from walking again. This young, determined pup is so full of love and life - please consider supporting her mobility by funding a new dog wheelchair, and contributing to her treatment and rehabilitation.
