I first met Endo and his owner/trainer Morgan in December of 2013, when they participated in an Introduction to Working Equitation clinic. I had been admiring them as they warmed up in the crowded arena and was shocked to realize that this confident Appaloosa whose flying lead changes had caught my attention from afar was completely blind (both eyes were surgically removed two years ago, out of medical necessity).
In the months since that initial clinic, Endo and Morgan have participated in several other events, including thrilling the crowds as they performed a Working Equitation exhibition at the Northwest Horse Expo in the spring of 2014.
This fund-raising campaign has as its primary goal raising money to enable Morgan to bring Endo to the Las Vegas Andalusian World Cup Working Equitation Competition September 25-27, 2014, along with a secondary goal of raising enough money to enable the pair to partiicpate in the five-day intensive seminar on Working Equitation with Portuguese master clinicians Jorge de Sousa and Dr. Claudia Elsner Matos, September 3-7th.
All the money will go directly to Morgan, to enable her to pay for her show fees, transportation costs, vet costs (Coggin's and Health Certificate required for inter-state travel with a horse), and (if enough money is raised), to offset the fees to participate in the Rider's Clinic and audit the Judge Seminar at the start of September.
The Las Vegas Andalusian World Cup will be broadcast online, and we expect several hundred thousand viewers, world-wide for the event. Help Morgan and Endo show the world how love and trust between horse and rider can overcome what many would believe to be insurmountable obstacles!
Entries to the Las Vegas competition are limited, and event organizers expect the classes to fill. The first $800 in donations will enable Morgan to secure their spot in the event. Please "share" this link with others who may be willing to help.
