A Singer’s Battle

Sometimes a lump is just a lump, and other times it’s definitely something else. Unfortunately for Ronda, her worst fears were confirmed this February when the surgeon she was referred to diagnosed her with an aggressive form of breast cancer (Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma). She has undergone 8 rounds of chemo so far, but still has a long road ahead of her with an upcoming surgery to remove the tumor and lymph nodes, months of radiation, and a significant recovery time. The doctors are confident that they caught the disease early enough to save her, but the road to remission will be long.

Since her diagnosis, she has tried to maintain a sense of normalcy in her life, but to say this has been difficult would be an understatement. Ronda is a hard-working mom of four kids, a full-time student, she works days, and performs nights singing all over the Valley. The toll this disease has taken on Ronda and her family has been profound and will last a lifetime, but the bills and loss of income that have come along with trying to treat the disease has proven to be a significant hurdle for her, financially. In fact, it has been the biggest obstacle to her recovery – that’s where you come in. I have started this GoFundMe in hopes that you will help to support Ronda and her family during this difficult time.
