A second chance for Danny.

We all know that homelessness is a huge problem in our communities. Some make the choices that lead them there, others have been dealt a really bad hand. Let me tell you about Danny, and the road he traveled that left him sleeping behind a mattress store with only one set of clothes and a book bag.
Danny's father took his own life when Danny was only 13 years old. His mother gave him and two younger brothers up to Dss shortly after they lost their father. He was separated from his brothers, and bounced around from group home to group home. He did earn his high school diploma while in Dss care.
After he turned 18 he was pretty much on his own. He had a job a bilo, but found it hard to live on. He heard that the greenville, sc area had plenty of good jobs. He packed what little he had, bought a bus ticket and came here. He found himself on Woodruff rd. He found a job with a fast food chain, but he didn't get many hours. Barely enough to eat on, much less pay rent with.
He found himself sleeping behind a mattress store, even sleeping in a dumpster if weather was bad. Walking to Wal-Mart to charge his phone, and keep warm. That's where the next leg of his journey begins.
Tami is an assistant manager at Wal-Mart. She met Danny, got to know him, and learned his story. After all he's been through he's got a clean record, and passed a drug test. Tami got him a job at Wal-Mart.
Please help us give Danny a second chance. A better chance. No kid deserves to have to sleep on the ground. Thank you!
