Please help the parishoners of St. Matthew the Evangelist build our church!
St. Matthew the Evangelist is a Catholic church and school located in Bellevue, NE. Our school was established in 1963 by military families and we formally became a parish in 1996. Although officially established as a Catholic church for the last 22 years, we have never had a church building dedicated to worship other than a small chapel.
We are seeking additional funds and donations to help us build a church where we can gather to worship and celebrate God together as a parish. Building a church has been a long time goal for our congregation, and we finally have the opportunity to make this a reality with your help and generosity.
We officially received the approval to go ahead with the design of our church and the groundbreaking is tentatively set for September, 2018. It is important that we are able to raise supplemental funding so the new church building project may continue as planned, and we may even be able to provide our new church with a Baptismal font if enough donations are received.
All funds donated to St. Matthew's will go directly to the building of the new church which will include a sanctuary, fellowship hall, office space, and rectory.
