A new wheelchair for Luke

Our beautiful Luke Welch will be turning 21 this year, and he has been battling with illnesses for a very long time. These include cerebral palsy, epilepsy, bilateral subluxation of the hips and severe scoliosis. Luke loves music, noisy toys, the football on telly and he especially loves his big brother Connor making silly noises. He is always putting on a brave face, smiling and laughing.Despite him being such a happy lad, some mornings can be a struggle for him when he is in some pain, and at night his fits wake him from his much loved beauty sleep. Every day is a battle for his mum and full time Carer Coleen, and his dad Carl. He needs 24/7 care as he can not do the things we take for granted every day.Luke is taken out to a day centre during school hours to do lots of activities, and for this he needs a wheelchair. He had a new one a few months back through a wheelchair company as the one he had wasn’t helping his posture. He sat lovely in it at first, and it seemed to help... But recently he has started slouching again due to his spine and hips not being in the best position (he is on a long waiting list for specialists to help) and a moulded wheelchair has now been suggested. This is being sorted through the wheelchair company, but the one he has now is being taken back in the next 5-6 weeks so we were looking for help in raising some money towards one Coleen can use just to get him to and from the house and on and off his minibus/Taxi. His moulded wheelchair would stay at the day centre for him to use, as they are a lot bigger than his wheelchair now, it would be difficult for Coleen and Carl to get this in and out of the house and difficult for Coleen with Sciatica to even lift Luke in and out of it. Any help towards a new chair for our Luke truly would be appreciated, he would be lost without the day centre and all of the friends he has made there.
