A new laptop for Mohammad
Donation protected
I am a teacher at a Logan high school and our school community has recently welcomed some new students from Nauru. One of these students, a year 10 boy named Mohammad was studying at a friend’s house after school last Tuesday and was confronted by a gang of 10-15 youths on his way home. They attempted to steal his bag containing his laptop but he was determined not to give it up and was very badly beaten. Unfortunately his laptop was damaged beyond repair and he has no means to replace it. This young man has had limited schooling during his years in Nauru and is facing a lot of uncertainty in his life. He is very emotionally fragile and to be assaulted after only a few short weeks in Australia is just devastating. I would really like to show Mohammad that there are lots of good Australians out there who care about him and the other kids from Nauru by raising enough money to buy him a good quality laptop for his senior years of schooling.
