A New Home/Repair

On March 31, 2018, My grandmother's rental house burned down. The damage is significant, and just about everything is lost. From her very important work, all the way to the other side of the house, her bedroom, and her work, is destroyed. For 12 years, she has lived there and made a place for everyone to feel welcomed, and a place for the family to come together to spend Christmas.

I am asking for help. I am asking for $15,000. This is to recover / repair items from the home and help Donna and her son get into a new rental and replace the destroyed vehicle. The costs after a fire are pretty extreme, and while she will rebuild over time, at her age and health, she is in need of help. What they really need is a new place to live, for two people, their pets, and a way to replace the vehicle.

My grandma, Donna, is in her 60's. Her health is not great, and she has been doing accounting work at home to survive. . . That dream was dashed. All of her work, most of her heirlooms, and irreplaceable documents, were destroyed in the fire. She tried to save her hand carved wooden hands of her children.;the fire was too hot, and it singed her hair. She did come out safely and is (Extremely Thankfully) OK. Luckily, her two dogs survived. Harmony and Serenity, will still be fed and taken care of no matter what, and anything that you can do, will be greatly appreciated.

My uncle, Sean, who also was living there, is a veteran with PTSD. He is getting family support, but still he is not doing well. This loss, is going to be hard on him, and I really worry. These are good people, who give a lot of time to doing good will, and need these funds to rebuild their life. Donna's two other sons (which includes my dad), suffer from extreme (and debilitating), neurological disorders and she has been helping them through their trials, too.

We will keep updating photos and the process of recovery for everyone.

ALL funds, will be going to restore their lives and providing a home for them. As with most fundraisers, the sooner the better. I hope to have this resolved and my grandma back on her feet, by the end of April or the start of May. I know this money is your hard earned money, and it would mean the world to my grandmother and I, if you could help in anyway you could, even if that donation is small, or even if you just pass this to more people so that they may see it and be able to help. Even if you know of resources instead of money, like a place to rent, that is very helpful, too.

No, my family did not have renter's insurance and will most likely spend the last of her days battling the insurance companies because we all know how insurance companies can get (even though this was not her fault). This is an "undeterminable" cause by the fire inspectors. (4/4/18) I apologize as I had to update this, some people did not like how I put it together before, but I have never done this and it was the same night the house burned down and I was trying to be fast. Thank you for your patience. and ongoing contributions.
