A new home for the kitties and me.

My name is Michael Mara. I am a 59 year old self-employed artisan. No wife, no children, my kitties (both rescues) are my family. We are living in a bad situation right now, in a cramped mobile home with plumbing, electrical, and structural problems that the landlord won't fix. We desperately need to find a new home. I have been looking online in the Trinidad, CO area, a quiet small town with affordable housing.

The kitties are my life, my family, and we need a safe, quiet, comfortable home to live in. I would also like to take in more strays, maybe even establish a cat sanctuary, but we need a place where I can do that.

The funds will be used for getting a roadworthy car that I can use in the search for a new home, and also, if I get enough, as rent or a down-payment for a new home. I need the money as soon as possible. A lot of people love my work and also, via Facebook, have come to know and love my kittes. This is Blue, my big boy, taken when we first met. We're been together 4 years, he is the love of my life. Last year he needed his teeth cleaned, and a few extractions, then developed urinary stones. I was scared to death that he might not survive it, but he did, although it cost me several thousand dollars.

Tuxie, my calico girl, when we first met. She was living under my house. Wounded, starving and freezing. I trapped her and took her to the vet, then brought her inside. We've been together 2 years.
