A little help to spread awareness

Cari amici, sulla nota positiva di due anni fa, in cui sono stati raccolti e donati circa 600 euro al centro diurno di Scicli che ospita e aiuta minori provenienti da famiglie "problematiche", quest'anno ho pensato di fare in maniera simile, forse un pò più in grande.
Come forse molti di voi già sanno, è da quasi un anno che ho iniziato a lavorare con i rifugiati in Grecia. E' stata ed è tuttora per me un'esperienza significativa, così tanto da aver investito e voler investire i miei studi, la mia vita, il mio tempo e le mie risorse in questo.
Spero che a prescindere dalle diverse opinioni politiche, si possa, un giorno, essere unanimamente d'accordo sul fatto che bisogna fare del nostro meglio per ridare indietro un pò di dignità a queste persone. Nel nostro piccolo non possiamo far nulla per cambiare la situazione "a casa loro", ma possiamo a casa nostra, alleviando la loro sofferenza e migliorando le condizioni in cui devono vivere nei campi in Europa.
E questo è quello che vorrei cercare di fare con questa campagna: per il mio compleanno vorrei raccogliere fondi per poter continuare ad aiutare queste persone. Una parte di questi soldi verrà utilizzata per supportare progetti già esistenti ed estremamente validi; mentre l’altra parte dei fondi raccolti verrà utilizzata a tempo debito per creare qualcosa di nuovo ed estremamente necessario per alleviare un po' il dolore di coloro che incontro ogni giorno.
Questi soldi verranno quindi usati adesso, ma anche poi.
Vorrei condividere tutto questo con voi. Per questo motivo il mio Facebook account diventerà una piattaforma di condivisione in cui condividerò tutte le piccole conquiste avvenute grazie al vostro aiuto.

My dear friends, due to the positive outcome of the birthday fundraising I organized 2 years ago, when we collected and donated 600 euros to the diurnal center of Scicli, where children living in difficult conditions are helped on a daily basis. This year I’ve decided to do something similar!
As many of you may already know, it’s been almost a year since I’ve started working with refugees in Greece. It has been and it still is a remarkable experience, to the extent that I’ve invested everything in it.
I really hope that, regardless the different political opinions, one day, we could unanimously agree that we should do our best to give the dignity back to these people. We can do almost nothing to help them “in their country”, but we could do a lot in our country, relieving their suffering and enhancing the conditions in the European camps that are hosting them.
This is the purpose of my birthday fundraising: keep helping those people. A part of the donations will be used for existing and extremely valuable projects; whereas the other part of the donations will be used in the hopefully near future to create something new and needed, which will help to relieve the suffering of the people I meet every day. These funds will, indeed, be used this year and in the year to come.
I would like to share all of this with you. For this reason, my Facebook account will become a platform in which I will share every single step made thanks to all of you.
Thank you very much for your help, I’ll make sure every single cent will be used to make the difference in someone’s life.
