A Length of Rope U.S. Tour

The Fundraiser
This fundraising campaign is intended to raise the money necessary for a U.S. tour of my solo contemporary circus show "A Length of Rope." I have created a $10,000 working budget, and all budgeting, expenses and income from the tour will be clearly documented and available upon request. The tour will start in Alaska, work its way across the northern part of the United States, then complete the loop along the southern portion of the United States ending in Bellingham, Washington. I have raised half of the funds for this tour myself, but I will need a little help to fully get this project off the ground. In addition to monetary support, help with booking and lodging along the way would be equally appreciated.
A Little About the Show
A Length of Rope explores the significant choices we come to in life, with a rope and trapeze suspended on opposing sides of each intersection. These two circus apparatuses represent the struggle of choosing between two different directions—be it a choice of place, identity, friendship, or love. There is no fourth wall in this show, spectators can see my hands tremble from physical exhaustion and some portions are performed among the audience members. The show’s relatability and vulnerability invite audience members to project their own choices on the show and explore for themselves all their lost possibilities. In this way, the work is innovative, it pushes beyond circus, beyond drama, to a place of intimate connection.
