For The Love of Mum

Welcome to our Go Fund Me page.

We are the original Flechtners and we're trying to fund a basement apartment for our Mum, Diane. 

We and she want her close by so that we can give her a helping hand, and so that she can feel the security of being under the roof of one of her children. 

When Dad unexpectedly died in 2003, among his final words were "take care of Mum." She's always had her own space in the home of one of her children, and living independently is something she enjoys. Doing this for her is a way we can fulfill her needs and Dad's wishes.

At this point we are unable to afford to fund a basement apartment for her.

It is difficult to ask for help. We hope you see this invitation for what it is-a chance to do a kind thing for a wonderful, loving sweet, and loyal friend. 

We're are asking for funds or donations of skill and/or materials to help with the build. Unfortunately we have no professional plumbers or contractors, electricians in our family to build the project. Some of us like to think we can paint, but don't look too close at our "handiwork," you might not agree!
