Postnatal wellbeing and support group in Oxford
Donation protected
Help us provide a safe, welcoming, friendly space at Flo's in Oxford for women to come and talk openly about their post-natal mental health.
It is estimated around 1 in 10 women will suffer from a mental health condition in the perinatal period and many more report struggling with some aspect of motherhood. Yet there is a stark lack of real, face-to-face support for women during this time.
We will be setting up a free, drop in support group, for women who are worried about their mental health or wellbeing after having a baby, or who would like some support in their transition to motherhood. The group is run entirely by volunteers, many of whom have lived experience of postnatal mental illness and can offer support to other mums when they need it the most.
We are passionate about offering a lifeline to women at what can be an overwhelming, exhausting, isolating time and open the conversation around post-natal mental health. Seeing a friendly face, and having the chance to talk honestly with someone who understands how you feel can make such a difference in those first few weeks and months with a new baby. Please help us run this much needed resource
