A Critical Drug Treatment for Steve Keough

This GoFundMe page aims to reach out to friends and family of Steve and Julie who can afford to contribute towards raising the necessary funds for Steve to start a critical cancer regimen using the drug treatment currently advised. For those who don't know, Steve lives in Vermont with his wife Julie Welkowitz and their two teenagers. Steve grew up in Bennington, VT, and is an ardent Red Sox fan and Saint Mike's alum. In April 2018, he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. Recently, tumor genetics shows that there may be an effective treatment recommended by his Oncology Treatment Team, but Blue Cross/Blue Shield has denied initial approval. They are now in an appeals process that may take several months, but time is of the essence.

We are trying to raise the funds needed to cover the first month of treatment (estimated at $30,000 per month) so that Julie and Steve can go forward with treatment NOW, while the appeal proceeds!
