While Tasmania burns in the this summer heat the Tasmanian Volunteer Firefighters have been going flat out for near 3 weeks now, hardly seeing family and friends, missing out on seeing their kids first day at school and often  without  pay so  its about time we showed them some love in return.
There is almost 200 stations in Tasmania, lets see if we can raise enough to buy each one a carton of cold cans to say "Thank you" for all they have given up to help protect us and our property and our beautiful state TASMANIA.

Finally we are back on track with the " A carton of beer for every volunteer station in Tasmania " campaign.
We were thrown a few curve balls but thanks to Michael Ferguson MP and a long time mate, Dean Young we managed to come to an amicable outcome to suit both parties.
We will now be sending out $45 vouchers (BWS/Woolworths/BigW/Caltex) and each station can choose to spend it how they please to reward their hard working Volunteers.
Thank you all for your support and patience while we worked through the "issues".
If any donators are not happy with this please contact me for a full refund 0419743291 or info@moonahautoparts.com.au

Things are looking up !
We Had a call from the very amicable and almost "too nice" Minister for Police, Fire and emergency services, Mr Micheal Ferguson, and it seems like the voucher ($45 BWS/MYER/COLES) idea is going to be a goer and be approved by the Hierarchy (fingers crossed) and the suggestion of the cartons of beer that have been offered/donated used for a thank you BBQ to the volunteers organised by the TFS.
This is good and also VERY SENSIBLE !
(How the hell we ended up here has got me bamoozled but onwards we go)
Now to get some sleep !

HI Donators, than you all once again. As some of you may have seen, the TFS deputy officer, Bruce Byatt, sent out a letter to all volunteer stations saying they were not to accept any gift or donation from "us" even though we have pictures of politicians handing out cartons to TFS stations and officers (not the Volunteers)
I was also contacted by the Minister for Police, Fire and emergency, Micheal Fergusson, who offered to try and find an amicable outcome.
We have a huge number of people who have offered to drop the beer off at the Volunteer stations and we would have no problem going through with our original plan accept it may cause some grief for the "receiver" if they were busted receiving it.
So my solution (plan B) is to mail out a $45 voucher for BWS/COLES/MYER and make it anonymous and I have obtained a list of address's for the volunteer stations and will start the post out as soon as we hear back from Fergs if it gets the nod or not !
