A Bus & Hope for Haitian Students

90% of Haitian primary schools require payment of tuition, books, and uniforms that is close to the average household earnings. Because of this, 50% of Haitian children do not attend school and of those that do, 80% do not graduate 6th grade.
The Joseph School is located in Cabaret, Haiti and is an extenstion of the nonprofit organization located in Nashville, Tennessee. The Joseph School opened in 2015 with a goal of adding 30-31 students every year for ten years. The students that attend The Joseph School come from surrounding villages of Cabaret and the local orphanage in Minoterie. Before students are accepted, they are tested and have to meet or exceed the kindergarten standards. If they meet the qualifications and are accepted, they are then provided a free education through The Joseph School. The students are also provided with uniforms, classroom supplies, transportation to and from school, and two meals every day.
Currently, The Joseph School pays for their students to ride in a tap tap to and from school. The school would greatly benefit from having their own school bus to transport their students in. The money raised will help us ship a school bus to The Joseph School in Cabaret, Haiti.
Through my two visits to Haiti and staying at The Joseph School, I can see that God's hand is definitely at work in Haiti! My heart will forever hold a very special place for Haiti and the beautiful people that I have met and come to love there. Thank you in advance for your prayers and financial support!
