A 4 year of bloody repression since flogging Raif

 

 

Today is Raif Badawi's 4th memorial of first lashes, 0n 09/01/19 we will have a memorial to mark Raif's A 4 year of bloody repression since flogging of Raif Badawi 

 

 

We are raising funds directly for his children to help them continue fighting for his freedom

 

Raif Badawi's children last saw him 7 years ago, Najwa was 8 years old, Tirad 7, and Miriyam was 4 years old.

 

Raif Badawi was inhumanely lashed 50 times in a public square in the Saudi city of Jeddah a few days before his birthday in 2015. The remaining 950 lashes were stopped due to medical and humanitarian reasons after the intervention of the international community.

 

Raif Badawi's wife and their three kids travel around the world to raise awareness of his case the demand of his release. Raif Badawi has won many international awards, the most important being the Sakharov prize for freedom of expression presented by the European Parliment for his courage.

 

Raif's children recently became Canadian citizens, after being refugees in Canada when they fled their country following their father's imprisonment.

 

Raif Badawi received a sentence of a 1000 lashes, 10 years of imprisonment and a large fine of approximately 266 000.00 US dollars and he spent more than 7 years behind dark cold bars in Saudi Arabia.
