Zillah Veterans Memorial Project
The James H. Schooley Post #130 of the American Legion in partnership with the City of Zillah and community members have joined together to construct a Veterans Memorial next to the Teapot Memorial Park in Zillah. This memorial will be a permanent place to give thanks to local area veterans who have served this country with honor and distinction. The City of Zillah has committed $152,000 plus the land towards the project and the remainder of the funding is needed through private donations, grants and in-kind trade labor. Initial designs for the memorial feature a walking path with 21 concrete sentinels with brick holders mounted on the front, alongside a flag for each branch of the military. The area will feature a centralized American Flag
