Youth Performing Arts Summer Camp

Hello! I am asking for donations to help launch a summer camp for underprivileged youth in the inner city. This is an effort to provide an outlet for the youth of our city to tap into their talents and use their time and energy in a positive manner. The summer camp would be 2 weeks long from 6:00 p.m - 9:30p.m  Mon-Friday. In the camp the students would learn script writing, acting 101, stage/set design, lighting, vocal warmups, movement techniques and stage  presence.  At the end of the summer camp the youth will perform on stage for family, friends, and members of the community a play that they will have written to showcase all that they have learned. I chose evening hours because it will keep the youth out of the street at night when its most tempting to get into trouble.

A project like this will cost money. More money than I have access to. So that's where you come in. I'd like to keep this program free of charge for the youth. The monies raised will go toward staff salary, food, equipment, venue rental, writing materials/supplies, textbooks, t-shirts etc. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated. Help send an underpriviliged kid to SUMMER CAMP!!!!
