Rachel's daughter is a friend of my daughter's. She is 11, her brother is 4. On July 31, 2017, she was supposed to be having a sleepover and instead she was kidnapped by her stepfather, after he murdered her mother and grandmother. He led the police on a high speed chase, shooting out of the car until police stopped him. He then turned the gun on himself, with the children still in the car, and attempted suicide.
The children were not physically injured but they will require a great deal of support.
Rachel's daughter is a vibrant funny young girl. She does a hilarious Drake impersonation, she plays Roblox, she thinks the youtube video for "Ohio Fried Chicken" is hilarious (as do many 11 year olds!). Rachel's son just said to a car full of the girl's friends last week, "My favorite color is blue because my girlfriend told me it should be blue, so it is."

Rachel's daughter has braces and will need continued orthodontia care, her son still uses diapers/pull-ups. They will need medical/psychological treatment, clothes, food, school supplies, transportation back to where their family lives and money to live while they find somewhere to settle in. I will manage the gofundme account and ensure the money goes directly to benefit them.
